August 1, CULCON hosted a Summit to bring together representatives from approximately 30 U.S.-Japan related organizations and facilitate conversations about the next generation of U.S.-Japan leadership. Sheila Smith, Senior Fellow for Japan Studies, Council on Foreign Relations, U.S. CULCON Vice-chair, and Co-Chair of CULCONs Next Generation Task Force, joined us as keynote speaker. Her presentation focused on the current status of the U.S.-Japan relationship, what to expect in the coming months, and new innovative platforms to help cultivate the next generation of U.S.-Japan leaders. This was the eighth such summit convened by CULCON.
