The Japan Matters for America project of the East-West Center provides a non-partisan “one-stop-shop” for information and analysis on the impact of U.S.-Japan relations at the national, state, and local levels. It presents an inclusive view of Japan’s impact in our communities by showing the linkages that occur across many sectors, from exports and investments to sister cities and international students. This project consists of a series of information-graphic intensive publications as well as the website hub, which serves to continue the U.S.-Japan story with updated data, articles and analysis. Target audience lies largely beyond the beltway: in businesses, classrooms, and the homes of curious citizens across America and across the Pacific, aiming to show that Japan impacts our communities, whether we the live in Washington or Wisconsin. Through its data and articles, this new resource shows that America Matters for Japan as much as Japan Matters for America. Check it out at: http://www.japanmattersforamerica.org
