U.S. CULCON joins the government of Japan in commemorating the launch of the 40th anniversary of the Japan and Exchange and Teaching (JET) Programme.

The JET Programme is a pillar in the longstanding history of the U.S.-Japan relationship, supporting mutual exchange and people-to-people ties between the United States and Japan by providing young U.S. professionals an opportunity to work and live in Japan. JET participants come back from their time in the program with new skills, experiences, and interests that enable them to build careers with deep cross-cultural perspective and lasting ties to Japan. The program’s goals and impact align with U.S. CULCON efforts to foster the next generation of the U.S.-Japan relationship.

Congratulations on this historic milestone!
